A NEW ME
It's been a long time since I looked at my website. I'ts not that I haven't picked up a brush or a pen or didn't have bouts of enthusiasm. It was because I needed to look at what I'd been doing in art for a good part of my life. It was about time I changed.I decided to take some art classes to see if I could become inspired. It worked and I immediately became enthused. I just hope you like some of my work.
This was the first drawing I did of a beautiful eagle in pencil on A3 paper. During the art classes I attended I was introduced to drawing birds in a variety of mediums. Some
painted with acrylics some with pastels and then what was to become my favourite tool - the biro. Not just the biro but either. I was introduced to mark making. I thought the biro was for writing not drawing.
This was my first biro mark making drawing - a Little Owl. What a beautiful bird. I would love to actually see one
It took off- I was so enjoying this new way of making art.
This a Fieldfare - another lovely little bird. It's so good drawing these birds. I have got to know more about birds doing these drawing and realise that in fact I just haven't seen many of them which is quite sad.
Starlings - so many in our garden and quite feisty when food is on offer.
